Serving our community together on September 29th!
What’s G-City? It’s a play on words…it’s Grace turned outward to the City…it’s our Genero-City…it’s our Generations working together to make a difference.
Grace will offer one worship service on G-City Sunday, starting at 9:00am. If you usually attend second service, think about coming at 9:00am instead for this special event.
G-City serving projects will begin at various times following our worship on September 29th. Check out the details below, or grab an info packet on the G-City tables in the breezeway on Sundays.
We have lots of ways you can engage with your family, friends, and neighbors (invite them along!):
Cleaning and Landscaping at a GAP SPLASH House – Scrubbing a GAP SPLASH house: floors, baseboards, countertops, minor drywall fixing and touch-up paint, along with some yard-work to spruce it up.
Fall Festival Preparation – Grace will hold a Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat event on 10/31. For G-City on 9/29, we'll collect designated items and prepare posters, decorations, and games for the event.
Women Vets at the VA Hospital – We'll collect donations of various items ahead of time, and then on G-Coty Sunday, we'll assemble them into goodie bags to deliver to the female veterans at the hospital.
Visit with Wing 400 at Mountain View Care Center – The residents in Wing 400 are older individuals suffering various stages of dementia. On 9/29, we will visit them to share love through games, crafts, and singing. Following the Care Center visit, the Grace team will meet at Rubio's for a meal and to debrief.
Sign up for Homeless Connect – Before and during G-City, you can sign up for the 10/4 Homeless Connect event which blesses homeless persons and their pets with many services, support, and supplies.
Eat at Rubio's – Serve at Grace and enjoy a good meal (or two!) as a fundraising activity to support our G-City ministries. You need to present a flyer at time of purchase...be sure to grab one at Grace before you go!
