What’s G-City? It’s a play on words…it’s Grace turned outward to the City…it’s our Genero-City…it’s our Generations working together to make a difference.
G-City is really an on ramp to help us make lasting relationships with people in our communities who are hurting or in need. It's part of our Outreach Mission at Grace, where we want to help people be loved, belong, and believe. For more check out the Outreach page.
What to Expect
Coronavirus isn't going to stop us from helping out!
Our next G-City is coming up at the end of May (5/31). We have a few projects that you can participate in that still respect social distancing and sheltering guidelines. Be thinking about which of these you'd like to do (you can do multiple projects!)!
For all projects, we'll be using Room 2 (the Welcome Room) at Grace as our "station." You can drop items off there Monday through Thursday from 9am-5pm. That's also where you can pick up card packets for our card-making projects.
Please drop off all donations and cards before 5/31!
Here are the projects:
Donate Gift Cards for GAP Children/Families
You can drop off purchased gift cards at the church safely starting soon. We asked GAP, and they said the SPLASH house parents would love gift cards of any amount to food places...especially McDonald's and Pizza Hut. The kids love the food and the parents will get a night off from cooking!
Drop Off Non-Perishable Food Items for ICS
Help us help Interfaith Community Services (ICS) stock their pantry to help those in need in our local community. You can drop off canned or packaged food at Grace, and ICS will come pick it up after 5/31.
Make Christmas Cards for Operation Gratitude
You can pick up a packet of cards at the church, take them home to sign and decorate, then return them before 5/31.
Make Thank You Cards for the National Guard
Same idea as the Operation Gratitude cards...we'll have packets available soon that you can take home to work on and then return.
